Fees & Process
Rahangdale Psychiatry PLLC is a self-pay, telehealth-based psychiatry practice. The practice does not currently accept insurance or participate in insurance panels.
This model allows visits to be longer, more thoughtful, and less constrained by insurance requirements. Patients are responsible for payment at the time of service. Superbills may be provided upon request for patients who wish to seek possible out-of-network reimbursement from their insurance plan.
Fees
Initial Psychiatric Evaluation, 60-75 minutes — $500
Comprehensive Adult ADHD Evaluation Package — $1,000
The Comprehensive Adult ADHD Evaluation Package is designed for patients seeking a careful psychiatric evaluation for possible ADHD. This is not neuropsychological testing and does not include a formal neuropsychological testing report. Rather, it is a psychiatric diagnostic evaluation and treatment-planning process. The package may include pre-visit rating scales, a detailed clinical interview, review of developmental and academic history, assessment of current impairment, screening for overlapping conditions, review of relevant prior records when available, and a feedback/treatment-planning visit.
Follow-Up Visit, 25–30 minutes — $200
Extended Follow-Up Visit, 45–50 minutes — $300
Administrative, forms, letters, or records review — $75 per 15 minutes, when applicable
Fees are subject to change. Any changes will be communicated in advance.
Treatment recommendations may include medication management, behavioral strategies, therapy recommendations, additional evaluation, or referral to a different level or type of care when appropriate.
Consultation Request
Prospective patients may request a consultation through the secure patient portal. The consultation request helps determine whether the practice is likely to be a good fit for the patient’s needs.
Submitting a request does not establish a physician-patient relationship. A physician-patient relationship begins only after a patient has been accepted into the practice, completed required intake paperwork, and attended an initial evaluation.
Before the First Visit
Before the initial appointment, patients will be asked to complete intake forms, consent documents, rating scales, and practice policies through the secure patient portal. These forms help make the first visit more useful and allow Dr. Rahangdale to review relevant history in advance.
Patients may also be asked to provide prior psychiatric records, medication history, testing reports, discharge summaries, school records, or other relevant documents when available.
Payment
Patients are required to keep a valid credit or debit card on file before scheduling. Payment is due at or before the time of service and may be charged to the card on file according to the practice’s payment policy.
A Good Faith Estimate of expected charges will be provided as required for self-pay patients.
Cancellations and Missed Appointments
Appointment times are reserved specifically for each patient. Appointments canceled or rescheduled with at least 48 business hours’ notice will not incur a cancellation fee.
Appointments canceled with less than 48 business hours’ notice, or missed without notice, may be charged a late cancellation or no-show fee. For initial evaluations and comprehensive ADHD evaluations, this fee may be up to the full cost of the scheduled appointment. For follow-up visits, this fee may be up to the full cost of the scheduled appointment.
Late cancellation and no-show fees are not billable to insurance.
Insurance and Superbills
Rahangdale Psychiatry PLLC does not accept insurance and is considered out-of-network with all insurance plans. Payment is due directly from the patient.
Upon request, the practice may provide a superbill that patients can submit to their insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends on the patient’s insurance plan, deductible, out-of-network benefits, and claim rules.
Superbills include diagnosis and procedure codes required by insurance companies.
Telehealth
Appointments are conducted by secure video for patients who are physically located in Massachusetts at the time of the visit. Patients must be in a private, safe location and provide their current location at the start of each appointment.
Emergencies
Rahangdale Psychiatry PLLC does not provide emergency or crisis services. The website, portal, email, voicemail, and consultation request forms should not be used for emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical or psychiatric emergency, call 911, go to the nearest emergency department, or contact a local crisis service.
